Beement places paramount importance on privacy. As a platform for organizing real moments, we apply unique security and auto-purge principles to protect your intimacy.
The Beement app is published by the Beement team ([email protected]). We collect your data (Email, Name, Surname) exclusively through Firebase Authentication to secure your account.
To protect your privacy, Beement applies a strict deletion rule: 7 days after the end of a Moment, all photos shared in the ephemeral album are permanently deleted from our Cloud servers (Cloudflare R2). Only the winner elected by the group is kept.
You can delete your account at any time from settings. This action triggers immediate physical deletion of your photos on the Cloud and anonymization of your participation (messages, expenses) to protect your friends' privacy.
Your data is hosted within the European Union. We use Google Firebase (Auth), Cloudflare (R2 Images), and Hetzner to ensure a secure and high-performance service. Identity documents submitted as part of the verification process are stored temporarily on Cloudflare R2 (EU servers) and permanently deleted immediately upon the decision made by the Beement team.
In accordance with GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, and delete your data. You can exercise these rights via the app or at [email protected].
Identity verification is an optional feature that allows you to obtain a "verified" badge on your Beement profile. Data collected: as part of this process, we collect the following: (1) a photo of the front of your national identity card or passport, (2) a photo of the back of this document, (3) a photo of your face (selfie). Purpose: this data is used exclusively to verify the authenticity of your identity and the match between your document and your face. No other processing is carried out. Legal basis (GDPR): processing is based on your explicit consent under Article 6.1.a of the GDPR. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting [email protected], without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal. Retention: your documents are stored temporarily on Cloudflare R2 (European Union servers) for the time strictly necessary for the review. They are permanently and immediately deleted after the decision (approval or rejection), regardless of the outcome. Only the "verified" or "unverified" status is retained in the database. Restricted access: verification is performed manually by an authorized member of the Beement team. Access to documents is strictly limited to those responsible for this task.
